Hypnotherapy has been a wonderful experience for me and I strongly believe it could help a majority of people. I am not the type of person that comes to mind when people think of hypnosis. I tend to be very analytical and straightforward hence my profession - a computer support technician. I came to Patrick skeptical but hopeful he could help me with a phobia I have. I tried the more ‘traditional’ methods (i.e. counseling, medication, etc.) but with no success. After a few appointments with Patrick, my phobia has dramatically diminished and I anticipate triumph. It has been a great tool for me even though I have no idea how it works, which is typically not acceptable to me.

I cannot thank you enough for helping me on April 16th. The pains in my chest were severe and the cardiologist told me they usually lasted a few weeks! I couldn’t be given any pain killer except morphine (due to extreme allergies) and I was receiving only occasional drips from an I.V. But within just a few minutes under hypnosis the pain vanished - never to return!!

Last summer I developed first, difficulty swallowing and then inability to swallow any solid food at all. My doctors were unable to "cure" this condition and I was referred to Patrick. Within weeks I was able to swallow, developed a method to relieve stress, created the use of a "place" that I could retreat to when under duress or when swallowing difficulty occasionally reappeared. Although difficult for me to explaidn why and how it works, I firmly believe that hypnotherapy cured me. As as alternative or addition to traditional medicine when dealing with advanced illness, chronic pain and end of life issues as well as indefinable conditions like mine, there is no doubt in my mind that Patrick Marsolek would be invaluable.

| I have nothing but positive words to share regarding your work with me in hypnotherapy. Before taking your self-hypnosis class, I had been experiencing progressive back and hip pain for nearly two years. I required pain medication or muscle relaxants to sleep and there was not a moment in the day that I was not in pain. I had changed many of my behaviors in lifting and exercising. I adjusted my posture, joined a health club, and had tried a variety of nontraditional treatments for relief. I finally turned back to traditional medicine and met with an orthopedist. An MRI revealed I have spinal stenosis and a herniated disc. Steroid shots and surgery were my options if the pain did not subside. My office workstation was lowered 5 inches and I received a new chair, which undoubtedly assisted in my recovery, but it was not until I learned about self-hypnosis and the healing that can come from within that I experienced significant pain relief. In your self-hypnosis class I first experienced complete pain relief during a guided hypnosis session. Just knowing that a state of relief could be achieved under hypnosis gave me hope that I could eventually reach a pain-free state under normal alertness. I first worked on improving my quality of sleep through self-hypnosis before bed. With your assistance, I then learned to envision a healing energy that may actually repair the damage to my spine. I am pain free now, and have been for nearly 6 months. I sleep well and I do not take any pain medication for back or hip pain. I am exercising fully, taking care to protect my lower back, and have begun skiing again. I practice self-hypnosis still, especially when I have an occasional flare up of pain. It’s good for an overall sense of well-being. I’ve become an advocate for self-hypnosis, recognizing how many aspects of our lives can be improved by focusing our attention inward. Hypnotherapy, and teaching people the technique for themselves, should be part of every medical treatment. Thank you for showing me some of the possibilities for self-improvement. I'm writing to recommend Patrick Marsolek as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Last year I needed some painful dental work. I have extremely sensitive teeth and don't do well with pain medication. So I went to Patrick. He helped me adapt my own self-hypnosis practice, and I was able to go through the procedure quite comfortably. Actually, I had a great time in the dentist's chair and hypnosis continues to be a valuable tool in my life. I find Patrick to be quite capable and professional. I recommend his services for helping others manage their pain as well as for their self-empowerment.

I am writing this letter in praise of Patrick Marsolek and his hypnotherapy practice located in Helena, MT. About a year ago, I was having some emotional problems that were affecting my marriage. In response to these problem, I went to see Patrick in order to receive help in dealing with deep-seated emotions such as anger. Patrick took me deep into myself to address the roots of my problems and gently but firmly made me face myself. After several sessions, my problems were alleviated ad my anger was brought under control. The treatments were so effective that I began to recommend hypnotherapy to others. In other words, I have been sold on the proces and its substantial benefits. Patrick clearly has a gift for this type of work. He is definitely a 'natural' at being a hypnotherapist, and Helena is richer for his presence. His manner is gentle and accepting, his voice incredibly soothing and his suggestinos uplifting. In addition, he is at the leading edge of his field in terms of publications and research as well as teaching a diverse set of classes conducted in the Montana area.
Many thanks, Jeff |

Patrick is an amazing man. He teaches with a combination of wisdom, playfulness and insight. His style invites participants to stretch and take risks, try new ideas and activities, and open to new possibilities. Patrick has a gentle, respectful approach that is both disarming and effective in supporting people to reach for the best in themselves and their world.

I live in Missoula, and have had a lifelong phobia about bridges. While I can walk across a regular bridge, I am a little nervous and have my techniques to help me handle it. While hiking, I become very afraid of logs and wooden crossings over streams, with my legs actually weakening and feeling a loss of power. I drove to Helena to work with Patrick on this, thinking that perhaps we'd get to the origin of this longtime fear. I had never been hypnotized before, and wasn't sure we'd have any success. I also had never met Patrick before our session. He is a warm, friendly, competent man.
