Are dreams important to you?
I used to think dreaming was a mechanism the brain used to unwind itself. Sometimes things made sense and some might be my subconcious trying to communicate something to me that would require some thinking. While I do think some dreams may fall into those ideals, I have discovered dreams can be so much more after taking Jay Dufrechou's dreaming class this past spring. We explored the possibility of dreams being a way for the collective subconsciousness to give us information. I can fairly recall a disturbingly violent dream I had and it sickened me that something that horrible could come from my mind. Jay and the class participants really helped me by giving me insight into symbolism and ancient religions that I knew nothing about. Personally, I think some dreams can be something fairly straight-forward or very profound. The ones that make you uneasy may have a message that will be of benefit to you and will requ;ire a little research for their meaning.
dreams
Aah..yes dreams are important to me. As my body continues to lose mobility with my ALS journey, I am able to experience things in my dreams that I am no longer able to experience physically. I have skiied in my dreams, danced in my dreams, explored MT Ascension in my dreams.
What means the most to me is that the dreams are real. I get an immense satisfaction of waking up and spending a moment thinking about my experience climbing up MT Ascension.
