You can enjoy two fun evenings of Communication Play and Learning!
- Come if you have had no experience with this communication style, but want to see what it's about.
- Come if you have had experience and want to practice and play with it.
Learn the practical use of
observations feelings needs requests
in Healthy communication.
Compassionate Communication techniques are for anyone wanting to learn to communicate better - with themselves, with partners, children and parents, with co-workers and strangers.
You can be more in touch with your own feelings and needs and
express them compassionately.
In this class, you can learn the basics of Compassionate Communication through playful, creative expression and connection with yourself. Have fun with role play, physical expression of needs, drawing and modeling, and fun self-care practices.

More thoughts on Compassionate Communication which is based on the NonViolent Communication as taught by Marshall Rosenberg and the Center for NonViolent Communication:
We can emphasize compassion as the motivation for action rather than
fear, guilt, shame, blame, coercion, threat or justification for
punishment. You can get what you want for reasons you will not regret
later.
You can make conscious choices about how you will respond whether you get what you want, or not. It is definitely NOT about guilt and tricking people into giving you what you want.
Included in this class will be a focus on personal resiliency including self-hypnosis and self-soothing techniques. NVC can also be used as an internal process, whereby we learn to self-soothe, self-assess our own feelings and needs and come from a place of personal empowerment.
